COVID-19: New rules for bars and restaurants

New measures coming into effect at bars and restaurants. From Monday to Saturday, they won’t be allowed to sell booze after 6pm. On Sunday’s, no alcohol sales after 1pm. That’s one of the latest measures being put in place to stem the spread of COVID-19.

Restaurants may also only have a maximum of 50 people at any given time. President Cyril Ramaphosa confirmed on Thursday, the number of people infected has risen to 150.

Meanwhile, China has recorded no new locally transmitted cases of COVID-19. But, it has imported 34 cases, mainly from Spain and Britain.  Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
