Gauteng: At 01H42 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a stabbing on Avian Avenue in Pierre Van Ryneveld Centurion.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male and adult female both believed to be in their late forties had been stabbed and assaulted.
Medics assessed both patients and found the female to be in a critical condition and the male had sustained moderate injuries.
Both patients required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilize them.
Due to the serious nature of the female patients injuries the HALO helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the lady to a specialist facility.
Circumstances leading up to the stabbing will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
