Commercial Underwriter with minimum of 5 years relevant commercial underwriting experience, required to start asap. Previous experience in a Brokerage preferred.
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent
RE5 essential
FAIS compliant – credits or full qualification
Minimum 5 years’ commercial underwriting experience essential
Previous experience in a Brokerage preferred
Responsibilities:
Commercial Underwriting of new and existing business
Take appropriate action and minimise cancellations
General enquiries – cover, products, processes
New business underwriting, Renewals, Endorsements and Re-broke
Analyse client’s portfolio
Request, obtain and assess quotes from Insurers
Raise premiums
Electronic filing
Cancellations and business retention
Raise invoices
Request refunds
Meet productivity targets
Liaise with Account Executive re portfolio
