MASKANDI artist Njoko Mbambo is suffering from kidney problems.
He has asked his fans to pray for him.
He disclosed the news on his Facebook account.
He revealed that he has been feeling pain on his back for some time.
He eventually went to see a doctor and it was confirmed that he has kidney problems.
He said: “Since 2019 I’ve been feeling some pain just above my butt. I’d feel the pain whenever I was jogging but I simply didn’t bother. After some time I started feeling this pain whenever I was just walking and it was becoming worse. I didn’t tell anyone because I thought it’s nothing serious. Eventually it started interfering with my jogging schedule.
“I decided to see a doctor and it was confirmed that I have kidney problems. This means I have to deal with this problem with the hope that I’ll overcome it. I’m therefore appealing to you to pray for me, don’t forsake me because we need each other,” he said.
“This has been the hardest lesson for me, it taught me to take care of myself. I’m also appealing to you not to ignore those mild pains it because it could be something serious. Prevention is better than cure,” he continued.
His colleagues in the music industry and fans were shocked to hear this news.
His sister Thandeka Njoko wrote: “Speedy recovery my brother. We shall put you in our prayers, just follow the doctor’s orders.”
Pretty Zondi said: “Stay strong my brother, you will get through your pain. Don’t lose hope and God bless you.”
