Public Protector, Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane, has withdrawn her Chief Justice application.
Mkhwebane joins Wallace Mgoqi who withdrew at the beginning of October.
President Cyril Ramaphosa willl decide which of the remaining six nominees to shortlist for the JSC position.
The candidates will then be subjected to a JSC interview and National Assembly consultation.
