Job Description
Manage daily operations of the Central Reservations Department. Co-ordinate and supervise all staff that is employed in the Central Reservations Department. Training and development of all the Staff members within the Central Reservations Department (6 Reservation Agents, 1 System Administrator, 1 On Line Agent- Total 8 Agents). Communicate with all Departments and Properties to ensure efficient service delivery to all. Management and loading of Rates in eRes Nebula. Oversee administration of rates and system requirements. Prepare reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Manage and maximise inventory for all Properties. Participate in management meetings. Oversee the yielding and management of online travel agent systems and API links with preferred partners. Sound knowledge of Opera, Apex , eRes/Nebula/ OTA extranets and ERes essential– non-negotiable. The ideal candidate must be a friendly positive person able to work well with and lead a Team. This position will Dual Report to : 1.) Operations Manager. 2) CEO.
Working hours are from 08h30 – 17h00 daily and half day every +- 8th Saturday. Although the hours of work are 08h30-17h00 daily the Manager would be required to work extra hours should the business demand require as such.
Qualifications
Hospitality Management or similar relevant Diploma.
Skills
Solid reservation operations experience for a minimum of 5 years + at management level Strong sales acumen and proven track record with strong ability to upsell and close. Demonstrable competence in rapport building and networking. Competencies – reliability & adaptability – planning & organizing – drive for results – eye for detail – stress tolerance.
