
The Social Development Department and the Central Drug Authority are hosting a three-day summit in Boksburg on substance abuse and illicit trafficking.
Minister Lindiwe Zulu will be addressing the gathering.
The summit will try to seek solutions to the various scourges plaguing the country.
Affected and infected individuals from across the country will be sharing their lived experiences.
Among them will be Former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates player, Junaid Hartley, who is now a recovered substance user.
Hartley will talk about his fourteen-year battle with addiction which left him sleeping on the streets of Johannesburg.
