MKMVA spokesperson Carl Niehaus believes former President Jacob Zuma is being treated unfairly.
Niehaus was back at Nkandla on Wednesday night despite being suspended by the ANC for comments he made outside the former president’s house at the weekend.
Zuma handed himself over to the police and has officially started serving his 15-month prison sentence for contempt of court.
“There was an application to the High Court in Pietermaritzburg. There’s also coming the 12th of July a presentation that is being made in front of the Constitutional Court,” Niehaus said.
“That all of those issues should be exhausted and that the South African Police Service apparently wanting to rush in and arrest President Zuma is just a further indication of the vindictiveness against him and the lack of care and the lack of concern for the law.”
Meanwhile, Niehaus says he’ll be appealing his suspension.
