The Democratic Alliance will launch its 2019 elections campaign on Saturday at Newtown’s Mary Fitzgerald Square in Johannesburg.
Party leader Mmusi Maimane is expected to outline the DA’s plans and core election team for next year’s national general elections.
Maimane said his party will focus on getting more votes in Gauteng and the Northern Cape.
He has decribed the upcoming elecletions as the most hotly contested since the dawn of democracy.
His party has been plagued by divisions and infighting, which resulted in the resignation of Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille, and Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Athol Trollip being booted out of office.
