Gauteng: At 06H53 Wednesday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the N1 Western Bypass towards Rivonia in Douglasdale Fourways.
Reports from the scene indicate that a bus had caught alight, setting fire to the trailer.
Fortunately, the passengers and crew managed to escape just as the entire bus became engulfed in flames.
The area around the bus was littered with baggage as passengers scrambled to retrieve whatever belongings they could.
Circumstances leading up to the fire is not known however relevant authorities were on scene and will be investigating.
