With less than six weeks to go until the local government elections, a community in Hanniville, Pietermaritzburg, is refusing to go to the polls.
Residents are claiming that corrupt officials have been put forward to represent them without their knowledge.
They’re also unhappy about a demarcation issue, saying their ward was split in two without any consultation.
Responding to the community’s issues, the ANC in the province says it is working on fixing these problems.
