Bloemfontein Celtic player has tested positive for COVID-19

Bloemfontein Celtic player Given Mashikinya has tested positive for COVID-19 – the Mangaung club has confirmed.

Celtic confirmed that the club conducted the COVID-19 tests on Friday last week and the results came back showing that Mashikinya tested positive for the virus.

As confirmed by Siwelele, the 29-year-old midfielder was and is still asymptomatic and is currently in isolation for the next 14 days.

Mashikinya has been a regular in Lehlohonolo Seema’s team this season, having made 20 starts in the Absa Premiership before the PSL break caused by the COVID-19 since mid-March.

Fans have come out in full support of the player wishing him a quick recovery.
