The ANC is pleading for donations ahead of its 110th birthday celebrations this weekend.
Over the last year, cash flow problems, mounting debt, and unpaid salaries have brought the party to its knees.
Last year, it launched a crowd-funding campaign, fuelling speculations that it’s broke.
Limpopo premier Stan Mathabatha said: “We need money as the ANC currently, we have financial challenges, but the money from this, will be used to finance the event, we are not pressuring anyone.
“We are not compelling anyone, we asking people to volunteer from own good hearts and assist us in delivering the message to our people”
