Kaley Cuoco admits she hasn’t spoken to The Big Bang Theory cast since finale

Kaley Cuoco has admitted she still hasn’t spoken to her The Big Bang Theory co-stars since the sitcom came to an end back in May.

The 33-year-old starred as Penny for 12 seasons of the CBS comedy, while the cast were one of the tightest going with endless supportive social media posts, and buckets of tears flooding their lives for the past year as they geared up to say goodbye.

However, three months since Raj (played by Kunal Nayyar) met actual Buffy, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) won his Nobel prize and Penny and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) announced they were expecting a baby, The Big Bang Theory lot are keeping their distance – despite Jim Parsons insisting the cast’s WhatsApp group is still ‘going strong’.

‘You know what, I haven’t really talked to anyone,’ Kaley told People. ‘This feels like a summer hiatus for us, so we all go off in our own directions. I think it’s going to hit us all more in September, when we would normally [go back to the show].’

However, the actress has been non-stop since waving goodbye to Penny and the gang, and her next role couldn’t be further from the family-friendly comedy as she embraces her potty-mouth to voice Batman villain Harley Quinn.

Naturally, after Margot Robbie’s take on the crazed Suicide Squad siren, Kaley was apprehensive because her recognisable voice is a million miles away from the Harley Quinn we’ve become accustomed to.

‘I was getting a little bit nervous that the true Harley fans would be like — because she’s very New Jersey-ish, New York, Chicago,’ she continued.

‘And that’s not me. So I knew people would know my voice right away. So I’m like, ‘I’m not going to try and be someone that I’m not. It’s going to be my voice on crack.’

‘That’s what we decided early on … and I think we’ve accomplished the Kaley Cuoco voice on crack. That’s going to be a whole new thing.’

The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Netflix while Kaley’s Harley Quinn series is expected to air later this year.
