This concert in Barcelona was Beyonce’s only stop in Spain during her Renaissance World Tour, which runs through late September, and the concert commanded a colossal audience of 53,000 people, making history as one of Spain’s biggest concert by a female artist, including Madonna´s Blonde Ambition Tour played to 80,000 people in July 1990.

The Renaissance World Tour is the ongoing ninth concert tour by American singer-songwriter Beyoncé, who has also become one of the most recognized artist’s in the world, at least in terms of awards and nominations. The tour was announced on February 1, 2023, supporting her seventh album, Renaissance (2022). The first tour was held in Sweden and the tour in Barcelona, Spain, was the eighth show and the final stop will be in Poland on June 27.

Beyonce went with a sparkling, disco-inspired Stella McCartney dress and stirrup leggings for her concert in Barcelona, Spain. The custom look was made of environmentally friendly materials such as silver lead-free crystals. “It is a life moment to dress someone as iconic and inspiring as Beyoncé—a visionary pioneer, disruptor, and artist who has worked tirelessly to make the world a better place,” the British designer said. A pair of clear Amina Muaddi heels rounded out the ensemble.

Others are hoping that Queen Bey will bring Arca to more tour dates. “beyoncé is definitely not going to venezuela (no shade) so colombia is the closest thing. she needs to take arca here to open the show. i’m so serious,” a Twitter user twitted.

On Instagram, Arca wrote, “thank you @beyonce for the incredibly uplifting show and for having me be a part of the renaissance tour ❤️‍♾️ thank you @amakadhasi for your support and care, thank you @cadwallader & @muglerofficial for kindly being up for dressing me for my set yesterday!” She added, “it was sooo much fun!”

Just the tip of the iceberg of history that the Renaissance Tour will make, and the Queen is clearly still at the top of her game. Beyoncé Knowles is arguably one of the biggest artist’s on the musical landscape today.

During her Renaissance World Tour, Beyoncé is once again doing her part for a better world with BeyGOOD. This is an initiative she started in 2013 to help support people all over the world. The initiative supports organisations that help marginalised communities, offer internships and provide services for entrepreneurship.
