Gauteng: At 15H44 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a building collapse on Liverpool Street in Benoni.
Reports from the scene indicate that four adult male construction workers became trapped under rumble when a portion of a building that was currently under construction collapsed.
Medics assessed the scene and found that one worker had sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.
Another worker had sustained critical injuries and was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner.
Two other construction workers had sustained moderate injuries.
Once all the patients were treated and stabilized they were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further assessment.
