How to know if you’re being played in a relationship

Being played in a relationship simply means that someone is being taken for granted. And most times, this happens if the love is one-sided or when the other person falls out of love.

When you are in a relationship with someone that does not have the same feelings for you, it can also mean that you’re being played in such a relationship.

It can be difficult to figure out if you’re being played in a relationship and this is because most people are good at hiding their feelings.

Here are ways by which you can know if you are being played in your relationship.

1. Your happiness is not a priority
When your happiness becomes the least on your partner’s schedule, plan, or budget, it’s a sign that you are no longer valued and you’re simply being played in such a relationship. A person that loves you will prioritize your happiness. Your happiness will also mean his or her happiness.

2. They do not try to spend time with you
If you are always trying to spend time with your partner, but they are not showing it giving the same effort, it’s a sign that you are being played in such a relationship. A person that loves will go out of his or her way to spend quality time with you.

3. They prefer to keep the relationship a secret
If your partner is always trying to hide you and hide the relationship from well-meaning people in his or her life, it’s a sign that such a partner is playing you. A person that genuinely loves, will always want to show you off to friends and families.

4. Their stories are inconsistent
If your partner is the type that gives different stories to the same event. Giving different excuses for the same offense or wrongdoing, it’s a sign that you’re being played.

5. You do not see yourself in their plans
If you are with someone who doesn’t include you in their plan especially in plans, it’s a sign that you’re being played in such a relationship.

6. They are only nice when they want something
If you are in a relationship with someone who is only nice to you when he or she wants something from you, it’s a clear sign that you are being played in such a relationship.
