Police say suspects made off with a substantial amount of jewellery after another robbery at a KwaZulu-Natal jewellery store.
A jewellery store, at the Ballito Junction Mall, was robbed on Monday.
“Approximately eight men, all armed with firearms and hammers in their possession. As soon as the men started hammering on the glass, the staff went to the back of the store for their safety. The suspects were able to enter the store after breaking the glass and removed a substantial amount of jewellery and they fled”, said police spokesperson, Jay Naicker.
The vehicles allegedly used by the jewellery store thieves have just been found. They were abandoned deep in a sugar cane field. The BMW is still idling. #BallitoJunctionRobbery pic.twitter.com/0MkRbIx54h
