Introduction

To render effective and efficient secretarial and administrative assistance to the Financial Services Tribunal in terms of section 61(4), 288 and 304 of the Financial Sector Regulation Act 9 of 2017.

Specification
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Financial Services Tribunal in terms of section 61(4), 288 and 304 of the Financial Sector
Regulation Act 9 of 2017;
Prepare proper Tribunal records and ensure that such records are properly indexed and paginated;
Ensure that matters are properly placed before the Financial Services Tribunal ;
Manage and maintain a proper filing system, both manually and electronically, regarding the Financial Services Tribunal matters;
Provide assistance to the legal adviser regarding the secretarial services of the Financial Services Tribunal;
Maintain and update the Financial Services Tribunal database;
Ensure that invoices are properly checked and sent to the Finance Department timeously;
Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls;
Draft minutes whenever necessary; and
Attend to administrative and client enquiries, as well as general administrative support.

The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Good interpersonal and organisational; office administration; communications (both verbal and written) skills; highly reliable and trustworthy person, who respects confidentiality. The candidate must be able to work in a team and under pressurised environment.

Requirements

A Matric Certificate plus a relevant Secretarial qualification, with at least 3 years relevant working experience as a secretary in a law firm. The candidate must have advanced MS Products knowledge (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
