Another soapie halts production due to Covid-19: Muvhango

Muvhango it’s the third soapie expected to halt production due to Covid19.

It’s been reported that the soapie it expected to temporarily shut production after a partner of one of its actors tested positive for Covid19.

According to entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela, he got a tip-off that the show will shut down production soon as a precautionary measure.

If this is indeed true then the soapie will join shows such as Skeem Saam and The River Mzansi – they also stopped production because of Covid19.

This will be not so pleasant news for the show’s viewers as it recently returned to production. At this rate, we’re going to run out of shows to watch.

Muvhango first aired in 1997. The SABC 2 drama is created by Duma Ndlovu and is one of the channel’s most-watched shows.
