ANC Secretary-General Magashule claims his phone is tapped

ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule claims state organs are being used to fight political battles.

He says his phone and that of his deputy Jessie Duarte are tapped.

Magashule also says many others have complained about this and urged them to speak out.

“There are people whose phones are tapped, I’m one of those,” he said

“Many other comrade’s phones are tapped. Comrades who have complained that state organs are used against them. Those comrades must come out now, they cannot keep quiet forever,” Magashule said.

He was speaking during election campaigning in Parys, Free State earlier.

Magashule also says the governing party must defend its leaders, including Environmental Affairs Minister Nomvula Mokonyane and former finance minister Malusi Gigaba.

“In the ANC we are a collective that’s why we will defend Mantashe, that’s why we will defend Mashatile, That’s why we will defend Nomvula.
