NPA distances itself from Advocate Teffo arrest

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it was not involved in the arrest of Advocate Malesela Teffo.

Teffo has indicated that he will be suing the South African Police Service for his dramatic arrest in April.

He was handcuffed and arrested minutes after telling the court that had been receiving threats.

Teffo was representing four accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.

His arrest inside the courtroom has been widely criticized.
