A growing company in Brackenfell is looking for an experienced and qualified accountant.
Qualification:
BCom in Accounting
OR BCom in Management Accounting
CA (SA) post article experience will be beneficial
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 – 5 years commercial experience
Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) English essential
Knowledge of and experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Knowledge of international trading – Forex, Reserve Bank requirements and Hedging and regulations surrounding international trading
Strong computer systems experience in Pastel, PowerPoint and Excel SAGE experience advantageous
Strong analytical and administrative abilities

Job Description & Tasks:
Creating and managing the chart of accounts in SAGE Partner
Accruing and deferring revenue and expenses
Exchange fluctuation loss & profit (Knowledge of international trading – Forex, Reserve Bank requirements)
Building financial forecasts & cashflows
Creating a budget and comparing it to actual expenses and liaison with HQ on approval process * Generating customized financial reports to address specific issues – CAPEX etc.
Monitoring issues related to financial and tax compliance
Identifying potential tax write-offs or other profit-maximizing opportunities
Audit & review preparation – liaison with auditors & HQ in Israel
Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Reporting to HQ in Israel (Strong computer systems
experience, PowerPoint and Excel)
Debtors control (Monitoring late payments and sending payment reminders)
Creditors control (Recording, processing and paying invoices from suppliers)
All fixed asset management
Monitoring and recording inventory changes and associated financial transactions
Processing cashbooks including petty cash & credit or debit card transactions
VAT submissions and reconciliations
Processing payroll & statutory reporting (efiling, EMP 201, EMP501, UIF)
HR (annual leave, sick leave, COID, Health & safety and other HR statutory functions)
