Our Stellenbosch based client is a Commercialisation Agent of Agricultural and Horticultural Intellectual Property. They are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant / Bookkeeper to assist the Accountant with daily financial requirements of the group of companies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for the entire bookkeeping function of the group of companies (this includes South African companies as well as foreign subsidiary companies where required)
Reporting to the Accountant
Assisting with any related activities typically forming part of a Bookkeeper and/or Assistant Accountant’s job description
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 + a valid driver’s license
A suitable and completed Diploma or Degree in Accounting
At least 3 years working experience (Knowledge and skills acquired) after completion of Diploma/ Degree
Experience and knowledge of Pastel Accounting (Inventory, multi-currency, multi-store modules)
Proficient in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel
Foreign Exchange knowledge relating to the day to day treatment of such transactions (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to follow through tasks and use own judgement as required from time to time
Excellent Communication skills
A logical thinker
Salary on offer: CTC R 20 000 – R 25 000 p/m
