200 COVID-19 vaccine sites identified

Work is now underway on the crucial process of laboratory verification and quality testing after the arrival of the first batch of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Cape Town-based bio-pharmaceutical, Biovac has been appointed for three months to provide storage and distribution services for vaccines to inoculate frontline healthcare workers.

Provincial health departments have identified 200 centres where the vaccine will be administered.

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa, on Monday, announced adjusted Level 3 lockdown restrictions.

It remains compulsory for every person to wear a mask in a public space and the new curfew hours are from 11 pm to 4am.
