Boity Thulo celebrates her 1st platinum plaque

Boity Thulo is one of Mzansi’s biggest female rappers and she’s owning her throne – The presenter-turned-rapper has done what no SA female rapper could do yet – one of her tracks went platinum – Wuz Dat was the track that introduced the country to her and has reached platinum status.

It’s been nearly a year since Boity Thulo dropped her very first single and it was a huge success. Wuz Dat was Boity’s introduction to the rap genre and since then she’s been gaining many fans and pleasing them with her music. Boity worked with fellow rapper, Nasty C, to create the track that rocketed her into fame and showed anyone who had doubts that she has what it takes.

The track has gone platinum – meaning it has sold 500,000 copies or more. Boity is the first South African female rapper to achieve platinum status with a track.

Boity has been achieving one victory after the other. She’s made the Forbes’ top 30 under 30 list and just a few months ago she toasted to 3 million followers on Instagram.
