16 people were injured when a minibus taxi rolled into a swamp in the Free State province on Sunday.
The incident occurred on the side of the R730 Road at the Bronville crossing outside Welkom.
“14 adults and two children were treated on scene before being transported to a private hospital in Welkom for further care,” said ER24 spokesperson, Ross Campbell.
Campbell said four people were seriously injured but no casualties were reported.
He added that police and the traffic department are investigating circumstances surrounding the cause of the accident.
