Zodwa Wabantu stars in e.tv’s new show The Black Door

No doubt she has the plug and the bling, too. Her unmatched flair has fast seen her winning big of late. The bubbly dancer has been making all sorts of headlines in recent years. Zodwa Wabantu has been topping trends since she secured her first acting gig. The celebrated dancer is spreading her wings to small screens after securing a gig on etvs drama series Black Door.

The cum actress will be starring alongside some of Mzansi’s finest, the likes of Zamani Mbatha. The raunchy drama series was commissioned by etv in the backdrop of their restructuring process. Unlike what was peddled by social media, Zodwa Wabantu did audition for the role and managed to secure the gig.

Black Brain has it that it took time to develop drama series that has topped trends before its debut. It will air 260 episodes and take over the Imbewu: The Seed timeslot after the drama series moved to the 9 pm slot.

Taking it to the media, Zodwa has it that this was her first on-screen audition. She has been very adamant about her craze for acting; it seems fortune favours the bold after all. No doubt she is heading in the right direction.

“This was the first audition I attended, and getting a call-back to be part of a show with an amazing cast and crew was a sign that I’m headed in the right direction. I can’t wait for viewers to see what we have in store for them. Honestly speaking, landing this role was an affirmation of my decision to go back to school in 2021 to study acting and performing art.”

In 2021 she made headlines when she decided to go back to school. She enrolled at the Star Quality Performing Arts College. In the mix of things, she even encouraged her followers not to hesitate to go back to school the mix of things.
