Workshop Technician Urgently wanted: Salary R30 000 per month
Main Purpose:
To undertake the full range of duties of a multi skilled technician maintaining and repairing a range of electric and diesel Scissor Lifts, Mobile Boom Lifts, Trailer Mounted Boom Lifts and Telehandlers including diesel engine mechanical work, hydraulic work, electrical work and pre-delivery inspections
Education:
Grade 12
Relevant trade (Electrician/ Millwright/ Diesel Mechanic)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in MEWP industry as a technician
Good mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
Ability to communicate well in English
Dependable and ability to meet deadlines
Must be prepared to work overtime/ weekends from time to time
Customer focused
Drivers’ license
Must have the required tools to perform his duties.
To ensure that the rental fleet is maintained and there are sufficient MEWPS available in rental state to meet operational requirements.
To ensure that site breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
Fault diagnosis and repairs
To ensure that MEWPS are serviced in accordance with company procedure and OEM specifications.
To ensure that scheduled maintenance is carried out.
To ensure that job cards are completed and captured on the system.
To ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard and that tools and equipment are well maintained.
To ensure that each MEWP has a work history to satisfy DOL and OEM requirements.
