With the death of Claudia, we were wondering what other twists the writers of Mzansi Magic telenovela, Isithembiso were going to bring for us and there it is Simi is dead.
Simi (played by Nandi Mbatha) was pregnant with Banzi’s baby and we thought she was going to come back and bring all that talent back to our favourite soapie…but here is another twist Simi left behind a baby who has been named Isithembiso.
Now we ask the question that everyone wants answers to, what’s next for the beautiful young actress. We got to know Nandi Mbatha on Mzansi Magic as Simi and we have grown to love her and so we wonder what’s next for her in the entertainment industry.
Personally, I don’t blame Nandi Mbatha for moving on, seems the soapie is losing its touch daily. The storyline keeps changing and it’s not consistent at all and I am pretty sure our favourite actress is looking for more challenges in the acting industry. But all the same, we are going to miss Simi and the connection she had with Zamani before Banzi messed that all up… now that was a storyline that kept us glued to the screens.
So the main question is what’s next for Simi and Isithembiso seeing that many are jumping ship. I am sure even the actors are feeling the confusion, here is an example… Tiro moved from a womaniser to music producer to dating the beautiful curvy Snegugu just after having a fling with Snegugu’s bestie Candy… yes all too confusing. I personally think they need a new proper storyline that will get us back that feeling the first time we watch the Mzansi Magic soapie.
But is Simi really dead? or it’s just another twist in this telenovela? We can only wait and see how it all ends on Mzansi Magic channel 161 on DStv. Catch Isithembiso every weekday at 19:30hrs.
