ANC is weaker in quality, says Paul Mashatile
We’re not as strong as we used to be, said ANC treasurer general, Paul Mashatile, reiterating President Cyril Ramaphosa’s remarks.
Delegates are continuing to deliberate on organizational renewal at the sixth policy conference currently underway in Johannesburg.
He said, “we used to boost that we have more than a million members that is true, but it came with its own problems. We have people who came to the ANC for all the wrong reasons.”
“Instead of strengthening it, they weakened it by their behaviour, more problems of discipline. While we grew in numbers, we became weaker in quality.”
