We are a small fast-growing eCommerce company based in Kempton Park, Johannesburg
We are looking for an assistant/manager to manage the warehouse
Roles and Responsibilities:
Management of the warehouse/warehouse equipment.
Management of Staff (2 Pickers), Motivating and disciplining.
Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
General Queries (Proof of Delivery note)
Checking units are allocated in the right bin within the stores
Preparation of orders and delivery note Waybill
General assistance in Logistics when needed (receiving and Dispatching)
Responsible and caring for the business
Checking units are allocated in the right bin within the store
Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Overseeing receiving and picking of cartons.
Manage and order Packing materials
Returns management
Ensuring effective storage of stock.
Delegate tasks and motivate procedures, including pallet sequence and procedures, and auditing.
Invoicing
Ensure a safe working environment.
Stock taking and cycle counts.
Implementing and overseeing security operations
Willing to do deliveries/returns to/from Takealot warehouse every 2 days using company vehicle
Able to work and do extra-mural to pick up / pack orders if pickers are absense for any reason.
Successful candidate will be required to work 3 months’ probation period and work remotely from home, but still do deliveries & returns to/from Takealot until the warehouse completion by Jan/Feb 2023, (the goods will be collected from 3rd parties), once the 3 months’ probation period end, and both parties agreed to continue, permanent position will take place.
Training will be provided
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 1-year experience in logistics environment
Knowledge in warehouse systems
Computer Literate – Microsoft Office, Excel, word
Good verbal and written skills
Must be able to work under pressure
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Driver licenses a must
No criminal records
