Cyril Ramaphosa’s contacts urged to isolate and get tested

People who came into contact with President Cyril Ramaphosa at FW De Klerk’s Memorial on Sunday, are being urged to self-isolate or test after the president tested positive for COVID-19.

Ramaphosa delivered the eulogy at de Klerk’s memorial and reportedly started feeling ill after the service.

He did test negative after his four-country West Africa trip.

The President is currently quarantining in Cape Town and is receiving treatment from the South African Military Health Service.

All his responsibilities have been delegated to Deputy President David Mabuza.

Meanwhile, Social Development Minister, Lindiwe Zulu, has wished Ramaphosa a speedy recovery.

Zulu, who recently recovered from the virus, has urged all South Africans to get their vaccines.

She says if she had not been vaccinated her situation could have been worse.
