The union says there’s been 10 positive COVID-19 cases, across several departments and claims the company has not carried out adequate screening and tracing processes.
However, Dis-Chem says it has adhered to all requirements throughout the lockdown period. It says eight other positive cases were discovered during testing.
“It started with one person being tested positive, the warehouse was closed and sanitised,” said Dischem CEO, Ivan Saltzman. The people and the area around the positive person was sanitised.”
Saltzman says Dis-Chem tested 58 people and they were all in quarantine before the results were released. Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
