Search for missing child in uMvoti River continues

The search for the young boy who is presumed to have drowned in uMvoti River in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday is expected to continue on Monday. It’s alleged that Siyabonga Ndlovu drowned while swimming at the river, the search and rescue teams attempt to find him at the weekend were unsuccessful.

It’s believed the boy had gone swimming to escape the heat when he drowned.

The Search and Rescue department and police divers attempt to find him were unsuccessful at the weekend.

Search and Rescue department is using dogs in an attempt to recover the body.

Authorities have said this is not the first body of a child they have been called to this year due to the heat and water scarcity.
