UDM in GNU to fulfil manifesto promises, says Holomisa

President Cyril Ramaphosa continues to finalize his cabinet.

That’s as more parties consider joining the Government of National Unity.

The UDM joined the ranks in a surprise move.

It had initially indicated that it was part of the progressive caucus along with the EFF, MK Party, and others.

UDM leader General Bantu Holomisa says the party is only interested in fulfilling the promises made in their manifesto.

“We have never demanded positions, that is not the culture of the UDM, we look at the bigger picture,” he said.

“The bigger picture here is to make sure that all these manifestos are integrated with a view to addressing the concerns of the people of South Africa who said they will no longer support one-party dominance.”
