KwaZulu-Natal: At 17H14 Monday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R624 Richmond.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light delivery lost control resulting in a rollover.
Medics assessed the scene and found that the driver, an adult male sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilize him.
The passenger, an adult female sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene before being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further assessment.
Due to the nature of the male patient’s condition, the Netcare 5 specialized helicopter ambulance was activated to rapidly transport him to a specialist facility.
