Edenvale police confirmed a shooting at Edenvale High School on Thursday morning.
Two suspects were shot dead and another two have been arrested.
Police said at least five suspects attempted to rob the school armed with handguns and AK47 rifles.
Saps spokesperson Kay Makhubela says police are investigating cases of business robbery, unlicensed firearms, and attempted murder.
