Banyana Banyana are currently in action at the Turkish Women’s Cup, with a second and final clash against Slovenia after clinching a win over Uzbekistan at the weekend.
Desiree Ellis’s charges impressed with a 3-0 win on Saturday as players rose to the occasion. All the goals were scored convincingly in the first half.
Tuesday’s match is a chance for the WAFCON champions to make it two out of two. Slovenia are ranked 46th to Banyana’s 54, so they will be tough opponents.
South Africa were initially meant to play four matches, but the withdrawal of some teams in the aftermath of the earthquake has cut the tournament short.
