KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H39 Monday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Road D1027 in Bhobhonono, uMgungundlovo District.
Reports indicate that the driver of a water truck lost control on the muddy soil, resulting in a roll-over.
Medics assessed the scene and found the driver, an adult male, in a serious condition, trapped upside down, inside the truck.
A Netcare 911 Rescue Technician used hydraulic tools to carefully cut the mangled metal away from the driver while an advanced life support paramedic treated the patient.
Once freed and stabilised, the patient was taken to hospital by ambulance for further care.
