Transnet strike could cost SA billions

Billions could be lost if the Transnet strike is prolonged. The Steel and engineering body SEISFA is urging unions and Transnet to resolve the damaging wage strike.

Thousands of workers have downed tools at Ports and Transnet Rail after rejecting a 4 percent increase offer. Meanwhile, a logistics company is struggling to get its containers from Transnet.

Change in Logistics says the company is refusing to allow them to collect their containers.

It says this will be devastating for the busy December period.
