Job Description:
Scheduling training interventions according to training plan and operational requirements
Provide skills development opportunities to support the HRD Strategy
Carry out assessment in line with ETQA requirements
Provide training support to the Smelter Retrofit
Provide on the job coaching support to the Refinery and smelter employees
Liaise with line management regarding training needs and report on learner progress.
Reporting on all training and assessments related skills development and training Provide relevant and up to date reports to line management on a continuous basis
Maintain accurate skills matrix, matrix of training records and assessor log
Ensure 100% training compliance for all operational licences as mandated by the MHSA
Design and develop learning materials in terms of unit standards and site specific requirements
Follow up on training non-conformances and ensure training occurs according to legislated requirements
Represent T&D during incident/accident investigations and implement/incorporate corrective measures into the training learning material

Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma Metallurgical or Equivalent
Computer Literacy (Windows 2000, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP)
5 years experience in Refinery or Smelter Operation
At least 2 years experience as a Supervisor or in an Acting capacity
Assessor Certificate is an Advantage
