Toy Kingdom is striving to become Africa’s most loved and most customer-centric toy retail chain that provides a magical environment bringing play to life. This position has a direct report into the Regional Operations Manager and will suit an individual who is a strategic thinker and has a passion for retail. It is expected that this person has a proven track record of success, target driven and has sufficient experience in managing large teams of people.
Key deliverables:
Managing the stores profit and loss to achieve agreed financial objectives.
Managing customer relationships.
Managing the store environment and administrations.
Recruiting, training and developing employees.
Achieving and exceeding targets.
Key relationships:
Operations Director, Regional Operations Manager
Head of Departments – Buying, HR, Marketing, Finance
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
Matric certificate.
Degree in Retail Management, Management, Marketing or Merchandising a plus.
3-5 years’ contactable experience in a retail managerial position.
Proven experience of employment relations and CCMA matters
Proven track record of managing large teams of 11+.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong team leadership, planning and organisational skills.
Have consistently delivered results above industry norms.
