Traffic delays are expected in on Thursday morning as heavy rains continue to fall in the city.

“We have numerous roads that are flooded at this stage and there are just a couple that are our main routes, which is the N1 incoming before Koeberg Interchange, where we’ve got the right lane that is flooded.

“Then we have the N1 outgoing at the split to Nelson Mandela Boulevard, which is flooded there.

“Then we have another flooding at Blaauwberg Road east down, which is after the R27. All those lanes are flooded at this stage.”

Coleman advised motorists to drive with caution.
