Police said the incident happened just before 2 am on the early hours of Saturday morning. Tow truck drivers killed in Ridge Road garage shooting. Five tow truck drivers were shot during a shooting at the Berea’ s Ridge Road in the early hours of Saturday morning, with two of them sustaining fatal injuries.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said the tow truck drivers were ambushed by armed men who arrived in a white vehicle with tinted windows.
“In the early hours of this morning, at 1.40am, five tow truck drivers were at a service station in Ridge Road, when a white Toyota Etios with tinted windows fired randomly at them.
“One died at the scene, four were taken to hospital where one later died. They sustained gunshot wounds to the body,” said Gwala. Police are investigating charges of murder and attempted murder, said Gwala. No arrests have been made.

Ridge Road, Berea: 2 People have been shot dead and a few others critically injured during early hours of this morning in Ridge Road after an apparent drive-by shooting.
Some have been linked to the towtruck and Ambulance Services. The deceased are known as Megan and Immies.
Police investigations are underway.
