Are you a Tour Consultant looking for a great opportunity? Do you have extensive experience in the
Tourism industry and wish to take your career to the next level? Then our client, a leading inbound tour operator for Southern Africa wants you!!!!!

The right will be responsible for the design and presentation of new tour itineraries and re-quoting existing tour series according to client request; the effective ground handling of tour packages for guided group and FIT travel including extension packages and optional excursions; ensuring the smooth operation of tours according to the company’s processes, ensuring profitability

Key Performance Areas:

Preparation and updating of master quotes and proposals for tour series
Prepare and update master costing and update proposal document according to instructions from Operations Manager for existing tour series
Hand all tour series documentation for approval and sign off to the CEO
Provide on the proposal T&C’s applicable after acceptance of proposals as provided
Preparation and presentation of proposal quotations for ad-hoc leisure travel
Evaluate the merits of each request and update the quote tracker with all relevant fields
Prepare a route and itinerary according the companies processes using approved suppliers
Investigate and provide on the proposal applicable terms, conditions and deadlines for holding provisional bookings
Ensure the checking and signoff of proposals of any value and follow up with client on pending/outstanding proposals
Proposal checking and sign off
Hand proposals to the Operations Manager / Sales Manager / CEO / Tour Consultants to be checked and signed off as applicable
Manage tour forecast
Upon confirmation of tour dates enter them in the forecast file
Report pax development to your manager (positive & negative) on a weekly basis
Tour preparation and execution from receipt of final pax numbers
Update forecast, reservations, itineraries and costings according to actual travel information
Invoice services to client and send invoice to 3rd party clients after authorisation
Prepare documentation for guides and clients
Monitor last minute pax developments until the day before arrival and adhere to correct cancellation policies
Guide handling
Provide Guide Planning with tour specific information including route, dates, language requirements and guide budget plan according to costing or client request
Communicate with guide/s to reconfirm additional details
Prepare guide and guest documentation
Preparation of float and guide salary documents
Ensuring timeous payment of float and return of tour fund reconciliations
Complaint handling
Pass on all complaints from clients upon receipt directly to Complaints officer and Operations Manager
Adhere to response time of 24hr-48hrs for investigation

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experiences:

Fluent in English

Matric with relevant Tertiary qualification

+3 years relevant experience
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Extensive knowledge using Tour Operating systems
