Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino signs new five-year deal

The 46-year-old took over the Spurs hot seat in 2014 and although he has been unable to oversee any silverware, he has helped lead the north London club to a top-three finish in the last three Premier League seasons.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new five-year deal.

“I am delighted we have agreed a new, extended contract with Mauricio,” said Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, as quoted by BBC Sport.

“I am honoured to have signed a new long-term contract as we approach one of the most significant periods in the club’s history and be the manager that will lead this team into our new world-class stadium.

“This is a special club – we always strive to be creative in the way we work both on and off the pitch and will continue to stick to our principles in order to achieve the success this club deserves.”
