Three shot in Durban car chase

KwaZulu-Natal: At 12H36 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the M7 East bound just before the N2 interchange in Hillary Durban South region.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle with two other occupants lost control on the downhill rolling the vehicle several times.

It was alleged by those on scene that the occupants of the vehicle were being pursued by law enforcement when they shot at the police who returned fire.

The three occupants, all adult males sustained had sustained moderate injuries.

Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
