Here are things you didn’t know about Nkosinathi ‘Nay Maps’ Maphalala:
- Nay Maps was born and raised in Pretoria.
- He is the first born child and the only male sibling, as he has two sisters.
- Nay Maps attended Sunnyside Primary School and Lyttelton Manor High School.
- Nay Maps broke through the industry as a presenter on a lifestyle show on ANN7 called Hashtag whilst also doing modelling and commercials.
The actor Nay Maps who is also a pastors kid, shared in a recent interview on Massive Metro’s DJ Sbu Breakfast that he sees himself creating his own films and production but is now running a brand called Naymaps.

Concurrently, he also worked in the modelling industry and made appearances on commercials. In 2014, Maps landed a role in the second season of isiBaya, guest-starring as Tshepo. From then on, it has only been one way up the ladder of success for Maphalala. He also featured as a celebrity contestant on season eight of Tropika Island of Treasure, a reality competition series airing on SABC 3.
