These are SA’s most criticised celebs: Pictures

For the most part, South Africans love and adore celebrities who make up our entertainment industry. However, there are a few notable exceptions; the stars who Mzansi just loves to hate on.
From much-criticised rappers to certain poets who always have something to say, these celebrities somehow always find a way to be the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. But, as you’ll notice, some of these celebrities give it just as harshly as they receive it…
AKA
From AKA-winanga to the unofficial roasts of AKA that dominate the timeline every week, AKA is one of Mzansi’s most criticised celebrities.
However, the rapper has grown thick skin over the years and seems unfazed by our words.
Zodwa Wabantu
Everybody has an opinion about Zodwa but unfortunately those opinions are not always flattering or kind.
The star has even been blocked from accessing certain countries, such is the backlash against her line of work (not everybody appreciates her risqué dancing).
Kelly Khumalo
Kelly Khumalo has been the object of many unfair “jokes” over the past few years.
From the horrific ‘Kelly Khumalo curse’ (which suggests that those who date her either end up dead or in jail) to the bullying over the death of Senzo Meyiwa; it seems that there are some people who just don’t want to see her happy no matter what.
Jackie Phamotse
Jackie Phamotse is barely even a celebrity but she makes this list just because of the sheer amount of controversy her content has been able to generate.
Her book on blessers and transactional relationships was one thing; but when she insinuated that a high-profile couple might be hiding some deep and dark secrets, she lost Mzansi’s trust for good
Steve Hofmeyr
Steve Hofmeyr seems to have an enemy almost everywhere he goes these days.
His controversial views on government (and Charlize Theron’s children) have made him one of South Africa’s most unpopular celebrities.
Ntsiki Mazwai
If Steve Hofmeyr is controversial, then Ntsiki Mazwai is downright infamous.
The poet and singer’s outspoken thoughts on social media don’t always sit well with the masses and, although she has a loyal following, she’s very “marmite” – you either love her or can’t stand her at all.
